Questions and Answers

Below you will find answers to many common questions about University of Redlands Giving Day.

What is #URallin?

#URallin is our first Giving Day—an inspiring online fundraising event and Bulldog rally on April 4, 2019. All gifts made during our giving day will count toward Redlands Giving Day.

Why is it important to be counted in on April 4?

Redlands Giving Day is not a spectator sport. It's all about joining in and being counted. The more Bulldog alumni, family, and friends who give, the more people we can reach and inspire to give as well. It's that simple. And that's why it's important to show that #URallin!

What are Giving Day challenges?

Adding to the excitement and fun of the day, several special micro-challenges aimed at benefiting specific organizations, departments, programs,  or encouraging social media engagement, will be announced and activated during the day. Check out the various types of challenges here.

Want to fund a Giving Day Challenge?

Thank you for wanting to get more involved! For more information, contact Molly Widdicombe at (909) 748-8381 or molly_widdicombe@redlands.edu.

Besides giving, how can I help #URallin break records?

Let everyone know! Tell your friends, family, and networks that you’ve made a gift, and encourage them to give too. Post on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram using the hashtag #URallin. Send an email. Make a call.

Better yet, sign up to be a Giving Day Ambassador by clicking on the Ambassador tab at the top of this webpage. You'll have access to a personal dashboard with special social media tools that make it even easier to reach and share the excitement with your network. You can also track the impact of your messages, including the number of new gifts you've motivated.

However you choose to get the word out, you can make an enormous difference in the success of Redlands Giving Day!

How can I follow the action? Where are the challenge winners displayed?

On April 4, follow the excitement on givingday.redlands.edu. Click Challenges & Leaderboards to see real-time results.

Why give specifically on April 4, 2019?

Your gift will go further on April 4 and have a bigger impact, thanks to generous Bulldog supporters who have funded multiple challenges. Your gift to the department, organization, or program you care about most can have a greater impact. It can also help your unit or program win a share of the day's challenges. Throughout the day, live leaderboards will show progress for the challenges, making it possible to follow along in real time.

Are you experiencing an error on the donation page?

Please delete symbols such as # and &. For example, Apt #31. We have found that this "fixes" most of the processing problems. Also, please make sure the name and address provided match your billing information. If your gift form still is not working, please feel free to call us directly at (909) 748-8068.

Where does my gift go?

Your gift goes directly where you designate it: to your college, school, or department; to a program; to scholarships; or to athletics—whatever matters most to you!

Is my gift tax-deductible?

You will receive an email confirmation, which will serve as your receipt for tax purposes. Your gift is tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. Please contact your tax advisor for additional guidance.

I made a gift to "Other" Fund, but didn't put a designation. Where will it go?

If you would like to designate it to a specific area of campus, please contact us at rfund_crowdfunding@redlands.edu or (909) 748-8068 by 5 p.m. PST on April 4. Otherwise, we will designate it to the Redlands Fund (area of greatest need) for your convenience. Thank you again for your gift!

Does my gift count toward the Forever Yours campaign?

Yes! Your donation on Redlands Giving Day will count toward the Forever Yours campaign participation rate. If you've already given this year, we thank you. We also encourage you to make another gift on Redlands Giving Day, because only gifts made on April 4 will count toward the day's challenges. Most important, your gift will inspire others to give, too!

Does my Giving Day gift count toward my reunion gift?

Absolutely! If you are in the College of Arts and Sciences undergraduate classes of 1954, 1959, 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004, or are in one of our BOLD classes (2008-2018) your gift counts!
